"With the hundred dollars I got, we bought suckers and supplies to promote Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon was started to honor Kiki Camarena, who was killed trying to fight drug trafficking. We wanted to raise money for the Nova Center (a local drug rehab center located in Oshkosh) and spread awareness of Red Ribbon week to the students. I bought ribbon, suckers and puzzles. We tied the ribbon to the suckers and sold them at lunch. The suckers were used to support and recognize Red Ribbon Week and the importance of it. We used the puzzles for a puzzle contest also as a fund raiser. Students paid $1 to participate in a puzzle contest. We impacted the local community and school district by harboring teamwork and coming together to sell suckers and run a puzzle contest and I truly believe we made our school district closer."

"For my Benjamin Project, I spent the money to give cards to the elderly around Valentine's day. I spent the money on supplies, such as decorative paper, markers, photo frames, and also on flowers. The impact it had on the community was that it helped cheer the elderly up if they were struggling through something or just having a bad day!"

"I found out that my school's student council was hosting a spaghetti dinner event with a silent auction to help raise money for a family in need. Hearing about this gave me the idea to make a Chicago Bears-themed gift basket to donate to the spaghetti dinner. My mother and I went to a few stores using the money to find Bears merchandise. Later, we bought a basket and a cellophane wrap to wrap it. The next day, I took the basket with me to school and gave it to the student council so it could be in the silent auction. The basket was indeed sold at the spaghetti dinner and raised a lot of money to help a family in crisis."
