The Homebuilding project is a perfectly concrete way to help someone in need. The sound of hammers, the mixing of cement by hand, dipping brushes into buckets of paint, carrying sheets of plywood, and digging with shovels – all so meaningful when you are helping to build a home for a poor family in a place like Costa Rica or the Caribbean. Providing suitable shelter for the poor is one of the most simple and impactful things we can do. Each home takes less than $8000 to build. Make a donation or arrange for your group to take a trip and build a home.
The Leaf Cutter project is working to ensure a brighter tomrrow for at-risk Costa Rican students through environmental education. Along with your help, we are partnering with Liceo Ambientalist, an underfunded environmental science magnet high school in Costa Rica with the mission of providing science intensive training for it's students. You can donate to this powerful project or contact us to learn more.
The Two Roads project is about community growth in a positive, student-led way. Honesty, thoughtfulness, and responsibility are the rewards reaped by the participants. The youth that take part are volunteers, and are asked to take on a project that could change their lives. Each volunteer is given $100 and asked to better their community…or beyond.
