Why the Service Scholar program?

The first step in becoming an effective leader is to become a servant. Global Doing Good aims to build leadership qualities in young people by providing them with service opportunities they can participate in during their high school summers.

Service projects fall into two categories: protection and enhancement of the environment and people helping people. They are open to students entering high school through the summer following their senior year. Projects range from six to ten days, are led by Global Doing Good staff and are in partnership with well-established programs.

Gap Year Internships

Service Scholars qualify to partake in a gap year internship program after high school, now more and more crucial for applications.
On-Going Mentorship

Our faculty provides support during the college application process with letters of recommendation and application essay guidance.

College

Service Scholars can receive college credit through their participation in the program.
