Below are details regarding families that received a new home in 2016!

Home Project #1: Elizabeth's Family

Location: Sarapiqui 

The family has 4 members and they live in a house made out of wood and zinc. The house doesn’t have a floor. They do however own their land. Yolanda is the mother and she is 60 years old and doesn’t work. She is taking care of the kids and her daughter. Elizabeth is 28 years old and she doesn’t work. Her job ended 6 months ago because she has a Syndrome call Guillain Barre - she was paralyzed for 4 months and now is starting to walk again. The problem is she is not sure what the syndrome is about and there is a high possibility that in a few months or weeks she can be paralyzed for the rest of her life. Fergie is 10 years old and she is at the school. She wishes her mom could get better she they could play soccer again like they used to before. Joseph is 7 years old , he is at school and dreams of having a new house. Josue is 16 years old and goes to high school.

Elizabeth's Family

Home Project #2: Blanca's Family

Location: Sarapiqui 

This family has 6 members and they live in a house made out of wood and zinc. Most of the house doesn’t have flooring, but they do own their land. Carlos Aguero is the father and is 65 years old. He works as a farmer and earns $150 a month. Blanca Mora is the mother and she is 47 years old. She takes care of their house. Carla is the oldest daughter at 19 years old and she is the mother of Saith who is 1 year old. Monica is 18 years old and she used to work in San Jose. This allowed her to help her family by paying for the water and electricity every month, however, now she doesn’t have the Job. Josue is 16 years old and goes to high school.

Blanca's Family

Home Project #3: Gomez Garita Family

Location: Sarapiqui 

This family has 8 members and they live in a small house made out of zinc, wood and plastic. The house is located in Sarapiqui and they own their land. Geiner Carrillo is the father and he is 48 years old. He works as a farmer and earns a salary of $15 per day. Gissel Gomez is the mother and she is 31 years old. She takes care of the kids while Gerardo is working and makes a little bit of money fixing shoes and clothes for other people. She earns around $100 a month. Geiner is the oldest son, he is 14 years old and he is in 7th grade at the high school. Fabian is 12 years old, Kevin is 10 years old, Franciny is 8 years, Geisel is 6 years old, and Emily is 1 year old.

Gomez Garita Family

Home Project #4: Luis Ramirez Family

Location: Sarapiqui 

The Ramirez family has 4 members and they live in a house made out of wood and zinc on land they own. Luis Ramirez is the father - he is 60 years old and works as a farmer. His salary is $180 a month. Elizabeth Vargas is the mother and she is 37 years old - she takes care of the house. Emilia is the oldest daughter, 14 years old, and she is high school. Ana Lidia is 7 years old and needs a lot of attention. She has problems walking and talking.
